Real buildings, real stories. Here's what we've been cooking up lately - everything from ground-up urban constructions to bringing century-old beauties back to life.
Toronto's Distillery District, 2023
Honestly, this one was a beast. Taking a 1890s barrel warehouse and turning it into mixed-use lofts wasn't exactly straightforward. Had to keep the heritage folks happy while making sure modern living standards weren't compromised. The exposed timber beams tell their own story - we just gave 'em a proper stage.

Toronto, ON, 2022
Client wanted nature inside without actually being outside, y'know? So we went all-in with glass - but not the cheap stuff. Triple-glazed panels, automated shading, the works. It's kinda wild how a house can feel open yet totally private at the same time.

Financial District, Toronto, 2023
Downtown Toronto needed another soulless glass tower like it needs a hole in the head. We pushed for something different - setbacks, terraces, actual character. The street-level retail integration wasn't easy but it's what makes the building work with the neighborhood instead of against it.
Cabbagetown, Toronto, 2022
1887 original. The client's grandmother lived here, so yeah, no pressure. Stripped back decades of "renovations" that were basically crimes against architecture. Found the original crown moldings under drywall - felt like Christmas morning honestly.
Built: 1887
Restored: 2022
Status: Designated Heritage
Port Lands, Toronto, 2021-2024
Multi-year consulting gig for the city's port lands project. We're talking parks, mixed-use zones, transit corridors - the whole nine yards. It's one thing to design a building, another beast entirely to plan how thousands of people will actually live and move through a space.
Junction Triangle, Toronto, 2023
Retail below, residential above - classic formula but we tried to make it not suck. The trick was giving the commercial tenants proper street presence while not making the apartments feel like they're floating in a concrete box. Setback designs and dedicated entrances made all the difference.
Whether you're planning something from scratch or rescuing a building that's seen better days, let's talk. We're always up for a good challenge and a decent coffee.
